These residents of Permatang Pauh are exuberant, motivated and energised for the final push. What brought about this rah-rah mood?
The electric atmosphere at the PKR ceremahs are inidication of positive vibes. The response to Anwar's, Wan Aziza's, Nurul's and the charismatic Raja Petra's speeches at the cheramahs could be an indicator. However, size of the crowd is not THE true baramoter, the empty chairs at BN ceremahs is a better indicator of voter sentiments. HawkeyeJack swears by this.
Lim Guan Eng's declaring Tuesday 26 August as a special holiday will bring hordes of out of town PP residents back into the voting booths. These guys and will make the difference and I may pocket the wager of Anwar winning by a 21,300 majority. Vesu....get my packet ready.
Tengku Aziz, former president of Transparency International and former special advisor to former UN Sec Gen Koffi Anan assumes the position of Vice-Chairman of the Democratic Action Party.
I am not reliably informed, but I have this quaint intuition that Datuk Zaid Ibrahim might be more acceptable in the DAP and Pakatan Rakyat fold to DO what the BN selfishly won't ALLOW him to do. When Jeff Ooi was inaugurated into DAP and I was at the acceptance function, I congratulated Jeff but also told him that he should channel his talents towards efforts to make DAP more colorful. I hope the DAP work towards this end. Kit and son CANNOT but work towards this admirable end.
Come back for more rah-rah news tonight when we report on tonight's ceremah. Tonight we are joined by Mokhtar Sardon (Flyer168), Desi of Desiderata, Terrence Netto freelance writer/reporter and speech writer, and two ladies my chin-lang Quinnie Khoo and Lilian who both made time to drive into PP.

Shar101,
ReplyDeleteTq Bro. Poor Bernard had been working his guts out the past few days & it was 04.04 am lah.
He has to go to bed "really tired & sleepy" so that he can doze off, as he has this worry - "I hope my bedmate's cement mixer is not on overdrive."
Cheers Bernard & shar101.
