When I first saw this picture (it was quite a while ago), I remember telling mum that it looks like our Perak MB does not care about people making snide comments of him hugging a little girl (you know lar, there will be people who will turn it into something else), and I felt it was a good thing...
I was in Ipoh this week. Professionals from Ipoh Hospital had some very inspiring statements about our new Perak MB. He was a committed engineer who always worked with and by the side of his workmen. He was soft spoken and always had a smile for everyone as he walked in and out of the hospital attending to the equipments. This photo only further proves the sincerity of this man. May God continue to bless him in his duties as MB.
This is a true Muslim and this is Islamic value. When will we see our Muslim Ministers shower us with this Pure Islamic values? Instead there is a call to all non-malays to accept to be unequal to Malays and not to question Malay rights and privileges that is never spelt out in the constitution. We respect fully and unequivocally all Malays and all their rights as provided in the constitution; we respect Islam and accept wholeheatedly that Islam is the Federal Religion of Malaysia in accordance with the Constitution; but nowhere in the constitution did it say that the non-Malays must be unequal and be 2nd class citizens.
One is a 'Prince Of Light' the other a'Prince Of Darkness'
One speaks of justice, fairness and equality. The other speaks of ketuanan Melayu, telling non-Malays not to question Malay rights and not to try to be equal reminding them they were not citizens before.
He speaks exactly like the UMNO warlords.
Zorro, sorry for the diversion. My hats off to the Perak Menteri Besar. It's nothing to do with Islamic values, it's just good moral upbringing.
yes this happened quite some time ago already but recently the ever popular forwarded email (and most of the time irritating to me) had been going around forwarding 3 pictures of this praising the MB and at the same time saying no MSN carried this picture at all, that you won't ever find them in the MSN.
they were wrong though. the star paper carried the picture... and right on the front page too! yes we criticise MSN a lot but when due recognition is due to them, we must clear up the air.
