It sure is a morose day for the Barisan Nasional, especially the super think-tankers who bunker on the 4th floor. The above pic appropriately depicts the mood and tempo(?).
Last night at the NPC whilst monitoring the elections with some 120 friends at the NPC, I was asked by Bob (the guy with the biting one-liners....tonight he was too happy to be dispensing caustic one-liners) if I was going to Tun Mahatir 11.00am press conference at his Mines residence. I told Bob that at this stage Tun woud volunteer a few things like what Pak Lah should do next, who to blame for opposition surge to take those states. To me Tun should just zip, take care of his health, work on his biography, and if he has any wow factor left, bring war criminals to book. He has already contributed to this country and he should just leave his successors to engineer their own doom. His time is over and nobody will listen to him. I have the needling feeling that he would advise Pak Lah to step down. I personally wouldn't welcome that. That would mean Nagib stepping in. What Nagib said on that 1987 evening at the TPCA stadium rings fresh. Whilst a hundred over opposition and some MCA leaders were slapped with the ISA Nagib strutted off free even after he had declared that "He would bathe his keris in Chinese blood." Tun let him walk free and now Tun may infer that it is time Nagib took over. I do not look forward to that day unless Nagib muster some scrotal gumption to say "Sorry. My future actions will prove to you that I will stand by my word to stand beside the Chinese and Indians in their fight for justice and equality, as promised in our constitution. So help me God." Until that happens, I cannot trust him as my Prime Minister. So for the moment, I will stick to Pak Lah despite his foibles. At least he has not passed any racist comments and threats.
The other possible things that Tun in his experience and wisdom will volunteer is why the opposition won many states. The pictures below were the reasons Anak Bangsa Malaysia swung towards the opposition parties who endorsed the People's Declaration. My condo-mate's 3 year old John Ray was on my lap earlier and I scrolled the pics above for him. "bad people" he volunteered. What did they say about something from the mouth of infants? So we don't need Jocee Tan or Wong to enlighten us.

So, all you political observers and pundits out there waiting to be asked to make comments on the recent political paradigm shift.....keep it to yourself....go stuff yourself with all the BN nicotine that you are addicted to and if you do not decide to detox, then just leave us be. We don't want even your 2 cents worth.
TELL THIS WOMANISER & THAT BEER-LOVING COUSIN OF HIS TO FLY WAU.

really zorro once again you are SPOT on...I would NOT trade the devil for the DEVIL! Yeah...TDM - time to chew the fat - you have earned your rest...so stay OUT lah!
ReplyDeleteNajib as PM?
Why you scare me like dat leh?
NajibMongolia when interviewed on 7th March by BBC likened the racial situation of Malaysia to IRELAND
He said if people of the same faith fight for so long in Ireland, what more will it be for people of different races in Msia?
WTF was that all about?
BEFORE Bungus National came along & propagate the evils of racial integration (for lack of a better term), I had MORE Malay, Indian frieds than NOW!
I don't want Malaysia to have a f**king covet Racist ...no better than the sentiasa tidur one now
Najib - You are definitely NO chip off your old block!
I am as scared that his wife Madam 20% will be our "1st" lady !!
Aiyahhh, Zorro, why u hate him so much lah. Najib The Mongol Slayer. Don't you like to hear that. A mystical hero ma...........If you transport hime back to the days of Genghiz Khan, Zorro, he is the warrior of the Golden Horde. But here in Malaysia, he is Puki King...sorry, Bugis King.
ReplyDeleteNow that we know and he knows that bloggers carry the day in GE12 victory for the BN-dreaded Opposition, he may even hire you to write his blog. Zorro, cannot u imagine you're retirement in comfort earning dimes and pennies for pension from his multi-million dollar defence contract commissions via the Razak Baginda guy.
Why, Zorro, in your spare time you can go to any RMAF base to fly kite or zoom up and down in those shiny MiG 29s, courtesy of the new Prime Minister of Malaysia, NR the Mongol Slayer.
Good luck 2U, mydear Zorro
They forgot what happened to Blair, Howard...! Those fellas...wonder whether they read any world news, let alone forget!
ReplyDeleteIt is just plain mind boggling while insulting common sense. Despite the fact that the man in the street has been shouting so loud through his and her vote about BN's arrogance, the main stream media spin continues right up to this hour - 9.24pm, Sunday, 9 March 2008. There is not a single hint of doing penance and responding favorably to the rakyat's verdict. Why? And this is not again going to merit points to BN beleve me. So I say this to all those aspiring to make a cut with the BN leaders: Be humble, speak what the rakyat want to hear or know and not what you want to tell. Otherwise, the future is not going to yield dividends as defeat is an opportunity to rectify.
ReplyDeleteJ.D. Lovrenciear
umno, in this coming election, should also throw this fella out. hey, aint a deputy be responsible too? and his track record is even more scary than badawi. racsit sloganeering and also known to have a pair of long hands dipping into the till (unless you forgot about those commission for the arms deal).
ReplyDeletefor me, i dont even touch him with a ten foot pole.
We need to keep an eye over the new state administrations especially Penang, Selangor and Perak.
ReplyDeleteOtherwise the new state leaders may be out to enrich themselves, be corrupted ,abuse power just like those from BN.
dude! interesting monkeys impressions !
ReplyDeleteHi Zorro,
ReplyDeleteYou posted so many times today. Man, you are all fired up. Your heart can take it or not? Agree with you - that man isn't PM material fit for our nation.
It does not matter who they throw in as PM. Nothing will change. We have already seen how disappointing Badawi is, and how dangerous Najib and his cousin can be. Add Khairy and the entire upper echelon in UMNO is nothing but a disaster in the making.
ReplyDeleteWhatever it is, Malaysians should be prepared to undergo 5 years of transformative change. It is inevitable if we want our kids to live in a dynamic, progressive and united society down the line. In 5 years, hopefully the Opposition would have proven themselves smart and humble enough to govern so that they can take over the rest of Malaysia and give BN the ultimate boot.
Dear zorro,
ReplyDeleteYou mentioned "...So for the moment, I will stick to Pak Lah despite his foibles. .."
I don't get it. You mean you want the current situation of the country remains where policies and transactions are controlled by KJ and his Tingkat 4.
The fact the country is in this f^^k-up situation is Pak Lah is INCOMPETENCE and his SIL take whole advantage of the situation. Therefore so long as Pak Lah is the PM, we are screwed, i mean very deep deep.
Look at KJ, even BN lost 2/3, he is still very ARROGANT!
I would believe , perhaps Tengku Razaleigh a better bet as temporary measure.
So it has happened, the racist polarising Barisan nasional got it's collective ass kicked. As a friend remarked over dinner, we have finally acted like a nation.
ReplyDeleteWe need to build on this for the elections was no magic wand. All of us have an ingrained amount of racism in us, some of us more then others. We could blame it on the divisive polarising tactics of the government but no one can be forced into being a bigot,we can only be led into it if we were predisposed to being prejudiced in the first place.
Was it Malaysiakini that had an interesting report sometime back that revealed most Malaysians haven't even had a meal with someone from another race in years? You don't need studies to tell you this. Look around you the next time you are in a mall or a fast food joint. Groups of Indians, Chinese and Malays all distinctly separate. Grouped by ethnicity and not beliefs or ideals. After 50 years in a supposed multi-ethnic nation. We have to stop this both by leading by example and passing the word around.
Nation building begins now and in each and everyone of us, it is our only hope, our only salvation, if not this victory at the polls will be a hollow one for we would only have replaced one status quo with a similar one.....
Brother Zorro,
ReplyDeleteI thank the God of heaven for vocal citizens like you.
Keep speaking... your voice comes as fresh breeze in this land laden with stale and stifling atmosphere for too long.
By the activities of men and women like you, a new dawn has come upon our nation.
I need to ask something: I agree with what you said about NR: he was the one who made the seditious, rabble-rousing, violence-inducing speech and he gets off. But remember this - who was the PM when all this happened? Who was singlehandedly responsible for the deprivation of human rights and liberty, for the oppression of minorites, social activists so on and so forth? I cannot stomach it when he is referred to in revered tones and titles such as "Tun". He started the rot not Sleepy-Lah.
ReplyDeleteA choice of PM between Abdullah and Najib is like the devil and deep blue sea !!
ReplyDeleteSeriously, there's no worthy BN candidate to take on that position.
Every one is tainted to a more or lesser degree even Shahrir Samad, just another toothless tiger, all growls and no bite.
This is a sad state of no solutions.
There will be even a bigger turbulence for our country's peace if either this Nagib fella or that Curry(Useless fella that has no background) fella become the PM of our country. Both even mentioned b4 to cleanse other races. am i right to say so?
ReplyDeleteLIKE IT OR NOT, WE HAVE TO ACCEPT THE FACT THAT HE WAS ELECTED BY FELLOWS M'SAINS TO LEAD THE NEXT ADMINISTRATION, SO BE IT.
ReplyDeleteITS ALSO A FACT THAT TDM & THE UMNO WARLORDS KNEW UMNO IS AILING & CAN'T HEAL BY ITSELF.
BUT FOR THE FACT THAT TDM TO HAVE A PRESS CONFERENCE & ASK THE PPL TO PRESSURE HIM TO TENDER HIS RESIGNATION IS THE MOST IRRESPONSIBLE THING TO DO.
FOR THIS IS UMNO PROBLEM,LET UMNO ITSELF DECIDE WHO THEY WANT FOR A PRESIDENT & AS THE NEXT PM, WHETHER THROUGH AN EGM OR DURING THEIR NEXT GENERAL MEETING. LET THEIR SUPREME COUNCIL HANDLE THEIR OWN PROBLEM.
WE ALREADY ACHIEVED OUR OBJECTIVE, TO DENY THE COALITION A 2/3 MAJORITY. OUR NEXT MOST IMPORTANT THING IS TO ASSIST THE ELECTED BARISAN RAKYAT CANDIDATES TO FULFILL THEIR OBLIGATIONS/PROMISES TO THE PPL IN THOSE 5 STATES.
SO DON'T GET THE PPL INVOLVE WITH UMNO INTERNAL PROBLEM...ITS NOT OUR FIGHT. AND IF WE ARE NOT CAREFUL & GET SUCKED INTO THEIR DILEMMA... IT MIGHT LEAD TO A TERRIBLE SETBACK. FOR WE MIGHT NOT BE AWARE THERE COULD BE SOME UNSCRUPULOUS INDIVIDUALS WILL USE THIS INTERFERENCE BY THE PPL AS AN OPPORTUNITY TO INCITE RACIAL
DISCORD.
AFTER LAST NIGHT, WE FINALLY SAW A GLIMMER OF HOPE THAT WE... THE MALAYS, THE CHINESE, THE INDIANS & THE REST OF M'SIANS COULD UNITE & BE AS ONE... AS BANGSA MALAYSIA.
LET NO ONE UNDO WHAT WE HAVE ACHIEVED SO FAR... OTHERWISE ALL OUR EFFORT & HARD WORK FOR THE LAST FEW YEARS WILL BE A WASTE... A TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE WASTE.
LET US LEAVE THIS UMNO INTERNAL BICKERING TO THEMSELVES & JUST HELP OUR BROTHERS IN PKR, DAP, PAS TO CHART A BETTER FUTURE FOR OUR CHILDRENS & GRANDCHILDRENS.
- BEERANYONE
Someone should put a shoe into Dr.M's mouth since the old fart is afterall (together with Bodohwi)the main man who is also responsible for so much misconducts and mishandlings in our country for more than 30 stinking years. Let's face it, all BN members are full of shits in their pants and minds matchable to the size of a housefly. So why count on racists like Najib and Khairy to run as PM? The country does not need anymore idiots. The only thing I like to see is the Najib VS Khairy soapdrama where they strangle each other scrawny necks.
ReplyDeleteSeeing those photos of un-armed citizens being treated like criminals -- just made me sick! Can our readers identify these people (who have been trained using the citizen's money) with a view to prosecuting them -----? There is also a man who is bleeding even! I have also seen a video of a plainclothes policeman threatening to handcuff a member of parliamant at the premises of that august building! Now that we have overcome the BN's cheating clout can we start cleaning up the system?
ReplyDeleteAnd the cheek of mahathir to comment that Pak Lah should have listened to the special branch and army intelligence on the groundswell of support for the opposition---instead of listening to his son-in-law ! Since when was the intelligence services used to gauge election results? Are not intelligence services to be used for the purpose of safeguarding the security of our beloved country? So mahathir abused the intelligence services to prevent the opposition from legitimately winnning the elections!?! Can this be allowed to continue? Shouldn't he be taken to task ----after all we have him admitting to this on record! What a shame --the NEW OPPOSITION should take note of this. It is like taking a pregnant person for a ultra-son scan in order to abort if the baby is not of the proper gender!!!!! Shame on mahathir!!! At least Pak Lah allowed democracy to prevail!
Are bloggers going to the streets again????
ReplyDeleteWe need to act fast!
http://koolgeek.liquidblade.com/?p=40
You are right, we have to be careful, eventhough many may not like Pak Lah, i believe at least he has the decency to accept defeat in grace. I don't trust Najib, after all it was his father who took over and masterminded NEP after Tunku Abdul Rahman. Let us not rush to have Pak Lah to resign.
ReplyDeleteRavi
uncle u r right. something's not right here. gotta do sth and pray. v dun want DEVIL barter.
ReplyDeleteYes, he must first apologise. No one should allow him to go unpunished for having uttered such irresponsible statement, and hand him the premiership. Can't anyone find way to get BBC or CNN or other international publication to cover him on this angle? The paper here will not do anything like that for us.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, Uncle Zorro! I have no desire to have Najib as the next Prime Minister.
ReplyDeleteDr M did say on record somewhere that he is a bad judge of character. His endorsement of Najib will be equally as bad if not worse than his endorsement of Badawi. Arghhhhh! Hate the idea lah! And yes, the kris thingy rings, rattles and clangs in my mind.
ReplyDeleteRip van Winkle's worst enemy is his SIL who would not be where he is today if not for the protection of FIL. When FIL is forced out, you can be sure the UMNO wolves will go for the kill. That my friends will be poetic justice for TDM who can then quietly retire.
ReplyDeleteAs for Najib being the next PM....
naah I don't even want to imagine.............
Ku Li for PM. Meanwhile tell the old scumbag to stop trying to promote Najib. We had enough of him and his thots. Lets not forget that Dollah and Najib are his legacy. With them around nothing will change. The Rakyat have spoken and lets start dismantling all the old man's legacy. Tun M just keep quiet, you have created this situation and the polarization of races in Malaysia during your time. We respect you for your age .that's all do not mistake it for anything else. Makkal Sakti, Makkal Sakti,Makkal Sakti
ReplyDeletewow! Loh Gwo Burn n Hannah won kelana Jaya n SJ respectively. With a huge majority somemore! MAkkal Sakti is really powerful. I agree with you Uncle Zorro that now they have won, it is time the do a bloody better job than their predecessor. I have an idea, I vote you as their e-godfather, overseeing their duty to rakyat! how bout it, Yang Berkhidmat Zorro? :)
ReplyDeleteI was feeling high until i read CitizenNades article this morning
ReplyDeleteWILL NEW PEOPLE DO THE SAME OLD THINGS
Zorro, your comments are spot on! The Tun must be in cahoots with Najib to cook PM's goose. PM should read blogs to find out what 's going on instead of only relying on his 'advisers'!

ReplyDeleteMalaysia Will Continue To Receive Large Foreign Investment
PUTRAJAYA, March 9 (Bernama)-- Malaysia under Barisan Nasional (BN) will continue to receive large foreign investment, said Wanita UMNO Chief Datuk Seri Rafidah Aziz.
"As long as the BN rules the country, foreign investment will continue to pour into the country as they know Malaysia's competitiveness," she told reporters at Seri Perdana today.
Rafidah was asked to comment on whether the BN's defeat in the five states in the just-concluded general election would have an impact on foreign investors.
She said the government would continue with its business-friendly policy.
She added the opposition would not dare to change the policy in the states which they rule as this would only chase away investors from the states.
Citing Penang, which is now under DAP, Rafidah said if they change the policy, the state would suffer economic ramifications.
She assured investors that they could still come to Malaysia as they had ample choice of places to locate their investment.

I think this senile old fool have to go! seriously, like semi value, she has to go, no more ministerial post for her!
death note>> nice!
ReplyDeletei did some too :)

Najib is Najis! 850 million ringgit corruption and a murder to add and this "sukara batcha" dreams to be the next PM?
ReplyDeleteJUSTICE WILL PREVAIL !!!
ReplyDeleteAbdullah may be incompetent but at least he is a gentleman.
ReplyDeleteIf Mahathir or Najib is the PM , these two blokes may just create riots and get the king to declare emergency , suspend parliament and nullify 12th GE result.
ya i agree with anon 3.08 PM. do u know at the BN ceramah i attended, all the BN big guns (gerakan and MCA) ended their speech with "vote for BN" but badawi did not! unbelievable but true. he said instead "i cannot tell you who to vote. you vote with your head and your heart."
ReplyDeleteNot this devil. Never. Like father like son. And Mahathir is pushing him to be premier.
ReplyDeleteNajib's wickedness stretches from Perlis to Sabah even Mongolia. He never cared for the army and police even. Look at how he purchased substandard equipment.
He has no iota of compassion for the rakyat.
Uncle, I was angry last night when I made that post on MM or as I call him MegaloManiac. How much do I detest him? An article of mine was published in a now defunct magazine called Vision 2020. I was invited for its inaugural launching. I refused to go because Mad Max was the guest-of-honour. I have walked out of conferences when he gave his honest-to-God surreal speeches.
ReplyDeleteHe started it. Operation Lalang, emasculation of the judiciary, suppression of lawyers, corruption, nepotism, cronyism, ketuanan Melayu etc etc. I am fuming when he is quoted everywhere. Do you think that he would have stepped down if he was in Sleepy-lah's shoes? Far from it. He would have activated the rule of Emergency ( we are still under Emergency, you know) and put everyone under the ISA. Prominent people who are now appearing in the video saga thrived under his patronage. I could go on...
The truth is we Malaysians are still up the creek without a paddle.
Zorro.....
ReplyDeletenajib apologise? UMNO buggers know how to apologise? These buggers think they do no wrong.
even if he does apologise..can you take his word for it. If he wants to be PM..he will lie.
Hullo --its sickening to see mahathir lording it over the media--in that opulent office of his.And have the cheek to suggest that Pak Lah should leave office.Did mahathir resign when bn lost both trengannu and kelantan during his regime? No --how come now different? This dictator should now resign --RESIGN FROM PRESS CONFERENCES!!!!!!!!!!!!! All of u are right --he would have created another riot and would have plunged Malaysia into another emergency --like he and his accomplices did during 1969! Only this time our Malay brothers are for democracy --and so our great dictator has to suffice with just talking to the media----which HE would have never allowed during his dictatorship! LONG LIVE MALAYSIA ------- and democracy!
We are not asking Malaysian to begin the culture of harkiri or sepaku, but a simple practise of accountability.
As far as work and leadersip is concern, Najib is far better and balanced than the rest. Bear in mind, whoever is your choice must be politically viable.
Najib is a mere suspect. Not even close to Anwar is confirmed criminal and is equally abusive of power during his reign. The new MB and his friend Khalid Ibrahim was equally corrupt man. (thats another story).
If we are so concerned abt Rosmah, hmmm … are we being rationale and justified in our basis.
We cannot be led in our rationale by mere guesswork, hunches, and prejudice. It is not progressive. I thought opposition are prmoting more progressive ideas?
Kalau Najib bersalah dan buat tak betul, kita terajang dia. Apa takut?
With people like DPM in power the whole country is going to the dogs.
ReplyDelete
