60 EMPLOYEES DEPRIVED OF EXERCISING THEIR RIGHTS TO VOTE.

Our Responsibility In a Changing World

As a member of today’s rapidly changing global community, we are striving to adapt to the evolving needs of society and contribute to the overall health and wellness of our world. We are continually reviewing and improving our efforts to lessen our impact on the environment, nurture a workplace of diversity and inclusion, conduct responsible business practices, and uphold the highest ethical standards in everything from research and development to sales and marketing. And, we are building partnerships in communities throughout the world to strengthen health systems, increase access to our medicines and find sustainable solutions to the health challenges of today, and tomorrow.

Yesterday was the final stretch and amongst the things I did was to finalise for friends their polling stations, their saluran etc. I despatched all the verifictions and got an email that said, "She won't be able to vote....on company trip to Austria and Venice." That news did irritate.

I thought this as highly insensitive coming from an organisation of unblemished repute. If memory holds, there is a provision in the Labour Laws that make provision for employers to ensure that their employees are given paid time-off to vote at any government sanctioned election.

What I cannot take is that the 60 abandoned their responsibility. Didn't they inform management about this sensitive issue? Couldn't this trip be postponed to accommodate the General Election?

SOME PEOPLE CERTAINLY DO NEED TO DO SOME EXPLAINING!

LET'S NOT HEAR SOME WOOZY PR SPIN, PLEASE.

WE DEFINITELY APPRECIATE THE TRUTH, THAT YOU OWE US.

WE ARE FULLY AWARE OF PFIZER CORE VALUES.

  1. 60 employees are nothing compared to thousands more who have been deprived of their honest votes due to the existence of phantom voters who use their votes in advance.

  3. Never mind, those who can BUT don't exercise their right and privilege are far far WORST...

For once, let apathy go to hell, and let us rescue this lovely nation of ours from the brink of hell.

    Long live Malaysia.

Penang has fallen to better people.
