  1. If it the PM really appoint this to be the governor of Penang , he is digging his own grave.

  2. Zorro,

Hope this is just pure speculation. But in Moronia Malaysia, everything is possible. Our Prime Minister is from MBS, you are an alum from SXI and I am an old FREE.

Our MBS friend is already making Penangites unhappy over the redevelopment of the Penang Turf Club by his crony, Patrick Lim aka Badawi. Now this. It will be too much to take. He is sending a discredited anak Kedah to rule the Pearl of the Orient.

Time for another wave: It has got to be BLUE.

  3. If there is any truth in this, is there an option to start another petition to voice our disapproval? Penang will not have a discard as its head of state.

  4. the comment below did not come thru so I am posting it, the way I know best:
Oh MY GOODNESS! I will join you in protest against this absurdity if it does happen. I am sure the people of Penang, and SXI will not stand for this nonsense. By the way, I do not consider the PM as a Penangite anymore. It's so shameful. Edmond

  8. As I wrote in my bog on Nov.4, this man's name is the only one in the list, so far. Apart from retired (unwanted) politiians, now this man. Yes, a former Lord President (clean, efficient and well respected Kedahan) the late Tun Syed Sheh Barakhbah was the second governor of Penang. Penangites respected his governorship. But not this retired Chief Justice. We deserve some one better. Alas! I do not know how to describe him.

  12. Granpapa,

So much impact your use of fonts and spacing have! I love it. But don't love the fate of the Penangites if this corrupt fool is placed there. Last thing we need is another self-serving politician raping more of our states.

I'm all for Penang. That's where my family makes their living. I will walk too.

  13. I doubt Pak Lah would go for it - unless, of course, he wants to lose Penang to the Opposition. With so much of heat heaped on him, he would be ill-advised to give life to someone who is dead meat.

  14. UMNO rewards those who have served UMNO dutifully with promotions and important posts. In this case the CJ has dutifully carried out UMNO's instructions, and that is the reason for rewarding this ex-CJ with this Governorship.

In the recent past, the AG Patail has been rewarded with this promotion for doing "well" in the DSAI case. So, too, was Augustine Paul similarly rewarded with promotions(over over more senior judges).

Penang people must voice their dissent over this appointment of a tainted ex-CJ as their new Governor.

  15. Do Penangites actually care????This Pearl has turned into one of the worst shitholes in Asia within the last 30 years.....and it really didnt make a diffrence.....so what's a tainted judge.....I am sure Gerakan will be ecstatic....

  16. they say "Bad government are elected by good people who don't vote"

so please exercise your rights before they silence you with their might.......

    cheers

  17. Save for your verbiage and fancy writing, I would appreciate you objectively state the reason he is not qualified.

Even the refusal to extend his CJ post for another 6 month is not fairly done.

You can't assume his guilt based on a tape its authencity and identity of person yet proven.

With the hands of the greatest "Bollywood actor" and reputable liar Anwar Ibrahim very much prevalent, thats a serious flaw in your deduction.

    Talk-fact

  18. What a shame. Such majestic and beautiful creatures, having to share this page with that crooked, ugly beak.

Pak Lah must be thinking through his bishop's nose wanting to place this yard bird in that mansion.

  19. Former Court of Appeal Judge Dato' Shaik Daud should be Governor of Penang, not this fool!

    ReplyDelete
  20. whoa! i'm shocked! why him? no way we penangites want him! i hope this is not true at all. if it is, i hope we penangites would stand up and protest!

  21. In the coming GE, vote the lingams and balls off all the BN candidates. Then the PM will have 2nd thoughts about this

    ReplyDelete
  22. OH MY GOD !!!

Now, is anyone going to set up some sort of petition again if this is true.

Wah Pak Lah, I really 'tabik' you. People really can't do what you have done... Wah liao !!!

Oh no no no, God bless Penang ...

Hahaha .. You have to Reject The Gift from Pak Lah because the Gift itself is a Reject.... That's a good one Zorro ..... LOL

    :-D

    Meanwhile, people view this....

  23. Under BN Penang is already in a mess and now PM wants to appoint this good for nothing "laucau" ex-judge as govenor? May God have mercy on Penangites, you are doomed. Bodowi wants to reward his valued running dog at the expence of the rakyat of Penang. Over our dead body, we will defend Penang till our last breath. See if Bodowi dares to implement this gift. Rise Penangites, express your displeasure at the coming GE.

  24. Oui, Penangite only deserve PARIAH to govern ? You must be kidding ! though Penang has got plenty of space for pariah dogs, but they dont welcome pariah people, be it senior laywer/judges/tycoon....

  25. if the xCJ becomes the next Penang Guv that would be pretty awkward for him as he will be in the Conference of Rulers meeting the same royal group of His Majesties who rejected his extension...

    just a thought

  26. Penangites, you have march to show that malaysians are truly in the era cleaning out these political dirts. Never let this dog humping free!

    Yet 2b proven?????

Get a life, there are other that can be a little deserving(so to speak abt no choice's choice) than this "very doubtful" stray all the way to Penang!

  27. The appointment of a TYT Governor is with the consent of the HM SPB YDP Agong, upon the 'advice' of the Prime Minister.

The people, including citizen of the state, will not have a say of who should or should not be appointed as the Governor of Penang (or for that matter, any of the four states), because its a purely an Executive decision via SPB YDP Agong.

Again, HM SPB YDP Agong has only absolute power to decide on issues involving the Malay culture and heritage and Islam, as per provided by the Federal Constitution. Everything else, HM SPB YDP Agong will have to follow the 'advice' of the Executive.

Look at history. So many former Cabinet Ministers, senior Civil Servants and politicians being appointed TYT Governors. Tun Leong Yew Koh, Tun Sakaran Dandai, Tun Abdul Rahman Yakub, Tun Sardon Zubir, Tun Khalil Yaacob, Tun Syed Ahmad Shabudin, Raja Tun Uda, Tun Abdul Aziz Majid, Tun Dr. Awang Hassan, Tun Hamdan Sheikh Tahir, Tun Mohamed Said Keruak etc.

Once, a HM SPB YDP Agong refused to accept a Menteri Besar as proposed by the Prime Minister, after a General Elections. It was conveyed to the PM by the Regent. The PM put his foot down and the MB served the state for two terms in office.

Bottomline, there is nothing much HM SPB YDP Agong can do.

  29. actually, i think we should send this particular guy to the ISS on a one way trip! then, we celebrate! one less idiot on planet earth.:)

  30. This is bolehland? And PM is digging his own grave...but maybe it is not PM's idea..someone's else idea to get him in hot soup, but the sleepy head does not know what is really happening around him..and he gives in to that idea of making him governor. With all the backstabbing in UMNo..anything can happen.
