MANY HINDU TEMPLES DEMOLISHED BUT ONE ALLOWED TO STAND IN TESTIMONY THAT GOD'S TEMPLES ARE NOT AS IMPORTANT AS THIS GOVERNMENT- SANCTIONED ILL-GOTTEN MANSION.

Group seeks action over the demolition of 79 Hindu temples

PUTRAJAYA: Some 100 people from the Hindu Rights Action Force handed a memorandum to the special officer to the Solicitor-General Ilham Abdul Kader over the apparent lack of action on the demolition of 79 Hindu temples nationwide.

The group, which gathered in front of the Attorney-General's Chambers yesterday, expressed disappointment over the apparent lack of action although 99 police reports had been lodged over the matter.

Chairman Waytha Moorthy said the

memorandum stated that Hindu temples, some more than 100 years old and located

on private land, had been demolished

without proper court orders since last

year.

Apart from the 99 police reports, the organisation had also sent out 74 letters and memoranda to the A-G's Chambers and other relevant state authorities but had so far received no response, he said.

From 22.2.2006 TO 13.6.2007 (one year and four months), 79 HINDU TEMPLES in MALAYSIA were faced with:

  1. BEING DEMOLISHED,
  2. GIVEN NOTICE TO BE DEMOLISHED
  3. RELOCATED NEXT TO SEWERAGE TANKS,
  4. BURNT TO THE GROUND, or
  5. DEITIES FORCIBLY REMOVED

Over the last 15 years, Hindu temples in Malaysia are being demolished at the rate of ONE temple in every THREE weeks.

FIFTEEN (15) HINDU TEMPLES DEMOLISHED IN THE KLANG VALLEY.

FOUR (4) OTHER DEMOLISHED HINDU TEMPLES LOCATED OUTSIDE KLANG VALLEY BUT WITHIN PENINSULAR MALAYSIA.

THIRTY ONE (31) HINDU TEMPLES WITHIN THE KLANG VALLEY THAT HAS BEEN THREATENED WITH DEMOLISHMENT NOTICE.

SEVENTEEN (17) OTHER HINDU TEMPLES LOCATED OUTSIDE THE KLANG VALLEY BUT WITHIN PENINSULA MALAYSIA THAT HAS BEEN THREATENED WITH DEMOLISHMENT.

THREE (3) HINDU TEMPLES THAT HAVE BEEN BURNT TO THE GROUND.

SIX (6) TEMPLES FORCED TO BE RELOCATED NEXT TO SEWERAGE TANKS.

THREE (3) HINDU TEMPLES WHERE DEITIES WERE FORCIBLY REMOVED.

NOW WHERE THE FUKC ARE THE AVOWED CHAMPIONS OF MY INDIAN MALAYSIAN FRIENDS? WHO REALLY DO YOU SERVE? YOURSELVES OR YOUR POLITICAL BOSSES?
PATHIBAN OF IJOK! SAY SOMETHING DECENT IF THE ABOVE THREE ARE DUMB, OR FOREVER HOLD YOUR TONGUE!

  3. What is actually required is NOT FOR all these Indian leaders to say or do something BUT for all adult indians to voice out their rights as well as the community rights to whosoever is doing these wrongs. If you think about this you will realise that there is a BIG shift in approach which at the moment is not being totally done widespread.Yes the leaders are there but most of the time response is LATE if not VERYLATE. So it is time for all ADULT INDIANS TO VOICE OUT, THERE IS NO NEED TO FEAR AS LONG AS IT IS COMMUNICATED DIRECTLY WITHOUT ANY TRANSGRESSION OF ANY SORT.

  7. hgahaha.... i think even the BN as a whole should be responsible. when they come for vote, they say all malaysians are the same, when it comes to this sort pf problem, tis always the communal problem..not national.

MIC MCA Gerakan must be questioned all together for not standing up for others rights.

  8. Hi Uncle Zorro,
Appalling and very disrespecftul...What happened to temples being sacred? Sigh...Is all this about religious respect, tolerance and freedom a farce? According to the Malaysian Constitution, The Fundamental Liberties guarantees us the right to build our places of worship...
Come to think of it, we're 50 years...Shouldn't it be acceptance and not just tolerance anymore?

  9. Rights of Bolaysians being eroded.. Makes you wonder if there were rights or simply privelleges to be taken back at the whim and fancy. As a muslim, I am embarrassed. As a Bolaysian I am apalled at this wanton insenstive act. Even, the Mursyiul Am in PASland would never stoop this low!

Hear the elegant silence of BN's MIC reps!

  10. sorry, this temple demolition is non-priority. more important demolition agenda ie. whack Ctos with a big stick, a legitimate business operating for many years. have to ensure Ctos collapsed.
you may asked why? I have no answer. Its better you asked the venerable Minister.
by the way, I have no linkage in whatsoever ways with Ctos except I did use their service during my banking days as part of the routine credit check.

  11. send them all to the Mexican chamber, I say!

In Subang/USJ, our application for a Catholic Church has been turned down...again!
I guess they need to tear down the temple so that they can build more _ _ _ _ _ _ _...you fill in the blanks!
If its up to Samy Vellu, he wants to build a multi story car park in Batu caves!
    Remember that?

  13. why our PM is keeping quiet...he should come out and tell something to the people who lost their sacred place. Its a temple....show some respect to the faith of our Indian brothers and sisters. Prime minister department must do something regarding this issue before its going to be too late. We always potraits malaysia as a multiracial and peaceful country...if THEY want it to keep it that way.. BN GOVERNMENT should respect the grieve of the klang people who lost their temple!
