23/07: Police report against Malaysia Today
Category: General
Posted by: Raja Petra
At 11.00am today, Umno’s Information Chief will be making a police report against Malaysia Today. The allegation is that Malaysia Today allows comments and articles that degrade Islam. (Updates will follow).
SO WHAT'S THERE TO CELEBRATE?
EXCEPT TO DECLARE IN SOLIDARITY "HIDUP BUGIS BLOGGER"
they just upgraded themselves to become GOD....we must obey to them only....niamah!
ReplyDeleteI cry for you ,,,,Malaysia
ReplyDelete50 years and nothing more than falsehood now.
ReplyDeletestart a petition for the ithdrawal of the report against RPK? maybe have site www.PeitionOnline.com to procced with the petition! there were more than 1,100 signatures for the petition to free NAT. Lets see how many will sign up in the cyberspace for this petition. Hope to see a record of 100,000 signatures?
There is nothing irregular about the incident where UMNO Information Chief making a police report against the Malaysia Today. Anyone is free to make a police report against another person.
ReplyDeleteOpposition politicians often made all sorts of police report, for all sort of complaints.
So why is it when an UMNO Info Chief made a police report, everyone went ga-ga and hoo-haa? Just because UMNO is a coalition of the ruling party, their office bearers are unable to lodge a police report and ask the police to investigate on Malaysia Today?
So let the Police investigate based on the police report. Afterall, at this point of time, they have not even call YM Raja Petra Kamarudin even to get a statement from him.
Let us not jump the gun.
It is a Police State when the Police call and breathe on you over the phone, harrasing you not to do certain things. So far what transpired here is still lawful and within the Constitution.
Biggie said: It is a police state when the police call and breath on you over the phone, harrassing you not to do certain things. So far what transpired is still lawful and withing the Constitution.
ReplyDeleteDid they harrass Nat Tan over the phone. Did they "kidnap" Nat and for some 5 hours the police played cat and mouse with Nats family....and they kept him in a cell for 4 days! Still not a police state? I excuse you because you were unavoidably "out of circulation" during this period. Read RPKs reply to the UMNO info chief.Have a good rest. I mean it as a friend and I dont want you to be too unduly stressed over what is happening.
Tell you what, biggie...
ReplyDeleteCOme doen from that high horse and see for yourself.
Really. See how Special Branch officers are taking photos of temple devotees and people wround who cared enough to show up to support.
And what laws are we breaking then to go to a temple and ask that it not be demolished? Did we see Special Branch officers at the bungalow of Zakaria snapping photos? Did we see ACA officers snapping at the council's office investigating?
But I did see the parents and girlfriend of Nat, and hundreds of others who oppose this kind of 'investigation' by the police.
Tell you what, if you EVER get taken in for whatever reason, you tell me if it is right.
RPK of Malaysia today summoned to Dang Wangi,
ReplyDeletethere’s a petition on line.
please visit and sign, thank you.

Nat Tan was detained and he was produced in front of a Magistrate the very next day and a remand order was issued for further investigations. That is in compliant with the provisions under the Police Act. Nothing unlawful about this.
ReplyDeleteThe upon the arrest of a suspect, Police are required to produce him infront of a Magistrate and allowed a maximum of 14 days remand order for the further investigations.
That law is passed by the Parliament. It means the rakyat representative voted the Bill.
If its done according with the law, than it cannot be construed as a Police State.
However, if the Police breathed on Nat Tan every day, calling him up and harrasing him over the phone, then that's unlawful!
Please differentiate the two.
Biggie. Internal Security Ministry's directive to all MSM not to publish any news on the issue of Malaysia being an islamic state.....(maybe a pre-nuptial stage leading to a fully consummated Police State....every thing starts with a beginning, no?
ReplyDeletepolice compliance with procedures doesnt mean this country cannot be a police state.
ReplyDeletethere are already ominous signs of a police state. selective investigation is the norm of the day now. a suspect was beaten to the pulp until his child cant even recognise him. in this case, its arrest then investigate (to intimidate and instil fear at the behest of a Minister?)
RPK in Dang Wangi this afternoon. All Blogs will walk with him 5pm.
ReplyDeleteHow does anyone know the Police Special Branch do not take photos about Dato Zakaria and/or other councilors? Are we there staking out Zakaria's or other councilors homes 24/7 to record whether they are there or not? Doesn't it occur in our minds that they could have files on Zakaria and others already, so they need not to do not anymore, ever so often?
ReplyDeleteBTW, what is wrong about Policemen taking photos? Does that breach any thing at all? So what if they want to take photos?
Often, Special Branch collect and collate info before they analyse and make a decision. So if they have enough info, they don't hv to resort to ways to get more info.
I hv organised events before incl political in nature and whenever they approach me for info, I'd tell. Nothing to hide. So never hv I been in situation they need to drag me to their offices and impose any "pressure" what so ever.
Easy to make sweeping statements, especially our understanding and experience on the matter is shallow.
Biggie....why should "they drag me to their offices and impose any "pressure"....
ReplyDeleteCome on biggie, how can they do this to a pro-government, pro UMNO, pro Mahatir etc.
"easy to make sweeping statements, especially our understanding and experience on the matter is shallow"
.....that puppy, is a sweeping statement...I was under suveillance in 1979-80. I was asked all manner of questions because of my link to Datuk Harun Idris....shallow?
sorry to say this, you are still young and too much yelping is unbecoming. Big Dogs bark buddy. Anyway how are you coping? Minus how many pounds now?
