Dear Zorro (Erm, I dunno your name),
ReplyDeleteThanks for your support in little Aisya's plight. Thanks also for alerting me about Ms Nuraina's post. Her family is extremely thankful for the donations that have been coming in since Mr Jeff Ooi and Ms MarinaM's post.
Let's hope we can help bring in more to help them start a savings account for Aisya just in case (touch wood) there is any emergency, and they need the cash.
I believe we might. After all, there are more blogs with Aisya's story now.
Cheerio!
Daphne Ling
PS: Love your 'Letter to the Rectum'!
Ooops, when I said 'her family is extremely thankful', I meant Aisya's family, not Ms Nuraina's =)

ReplyDeleteI know health-care is expensive but sometimes I wonder if there is more that the government can do to help the needy here. I don't want to sound like someone who fires the government at every chance he has. No that is not so, but really, if you cut all the wastage in government expenditure and cut all the money lost through corruption and discount the huge profits made by people who benefitted in the privatisation of some health services, I am sure there would be less appeals for aids if this nature.
ReplyDeleteAs for baby Aisya's plight, I take my hat off to Daphne for highlighting it and I hope we Malaysian would come forward to help.
To zorro, thanks for picking this up. This only goes to show that we bloggers are not a bunch of liars out to confuse the world. We are here and we write because we genuinely care.
KTN, Tks for the sentiments expressed Besides Daphne, we need to acknowledge Pi Bani too. I pinched the foto from her blog.
