i can forsee the days of independent blogging is numbered in Malaysia. You have a Deputy Minister warning that posting of Mat Rempits on the net will be hauled up as it is a threat to national harmony! This is a prelude, my friend. Next will be your blog and band of bloggers as you all will be deemed to be anti government and a threat to national harmony. I can see the clampdown coming. best wishes to you, zorro and band of bloggers.
That Deputy Minister can say whatever he is told to say. Min isters and their Deputy are mere microphones; merely amplifying (threatening?)party postures. It will be a sad day if Malaysians are so easily cowed by the bleatings (as in goats, not lambs...the latter being in the higher pecking order}of politicians. Good to remind ourselves that Malaysia is the 23million of us, not those moo-ing in that sacred edifice we call Parliament. UMNO definitely has a problem in credibility when they start mooing and wooing these misfits. I used to admire the UMNO political structure. I miss that now. UMNO meant well, wooing the young blood. However there is such a thing as tainted blood. A better selection process is in order. UMNO Youth betrays its ideals if they say that there is not much choice. I have spoken to some young Malays. They are so vibrant, so visionary, so articulate and yet when I broach the subject of supporting UMNO, they give me this wry telling smirk. I rest my case. Tks yok hoong for voicing concern. The band of bloggers/bloggers united are focused. As to a clampdown, cyberspace is SPACE and utilising space is litmitless.Amen.
Even if they do lock dad up, trust me.... he'll be drinking and fixing up his peace pipe for the Constables and Inspectors in no time. They couldn't stop him during the Teacher's Strike they won't stop him now. Summore armed with his new found knowledge of the internet and not restricted to the bars or clubs.... die lah the flers.
Thanx, I am in near tears. I would be if not for the cliche my late father once said to me, "Men Don't Cry".
Thanx to the visitors I had, whether MU fans or Liverpool.
To yok hoong, I think the band of bloggers know what they are up against and what the other side could do and might do but, I hope you are with me, we will not be cowed.
Anyway, Penang is still Darul Sampah and the traffic jam is getting worse.
hey my handsome zorro, i did the tag thingy. search my blog. as for the band of bloggers, i welcome them---any effort to support JO and R and free speech is welcome :-)
Zewt, I think it's because I said 2 magic words: Manchester United. Those who loves MU, zorro included, would welcome a brother and those who hate MU would want to know who this bugger is. Just joking.
I think it's because we can feel the positive vibration coming from any, though unknown, new, like-minded member.
You got to remember it is not the love for MU or the hatred for Liverpool (or the other way around)that unites us, it is the fact that we share one common struggle: the struggle for justice and human decency. We are after all human and a human would seek decency, those who don't ...... !!!!
